When it comes to singing Africa, especially Southern, can reach with singing all the sounds of the earth.  Dynamic, colorful costumes, rhythmic, with rich harmonies and dancing performance, all these adjectives can be used to describe Soweto Gospel Choir. They were formed in 2002, as a cultural embodiment of post-apartheid South Africa.

Their musical expression is a combination of African spiritual music, rhythms tribe, reggae and American pop music. Group has so far held several world tours. Their albums “Blessed” and “African Spirit” won Grammya for the best traditional world music albums in 2007-and 2008.

The group receives excellent reviews from almost all countries around the world in which they performed, so Peter Burdon (Australia) said “Vibrant, radiant, majestic…inspired and inspiring music, boldly performed…”, Adrian Chamberlain (Times Colonist - Canada) states that “Soweto Choir offers glorious gospel revival”. After the concert in Edinburgh Sue Wilson said “… a truly otherworldly sound that literally takes the breath away …dazzling”.
